Greater Noida industrial units seek drainage, power and sewerage fixes

Entrepreneurs from Ecotech I, II, III, VI and VII and Udyog Kendra have sought upgrades to drainage, sewerage, water supply and electricity services in Greater Noida’s industrial areas.

At a meeting with Greater Noida Authority officials, the Industrial Business Association and other representatives said poor drainage was causing waterlogging and disrupting operations. They also sought door-to-door waste collection in industrial sectors and designated vending zones for rehri-patri vendors.

IBA president Amit Upadhyay called for a coordinated, time-bound response to recurring civic problems. The group also proposed developing Ecotech III as a model industrial sector, setting up common facility centres, creating an online single-window system for no-objection certificates and introducing a one-time settlement scheme for units with outstanding payments.

Additional chief executive officer Saumya Srivastava said the Authority had directed its project, water, sewerage, electrical engineering, health and planning departments to address the concerns on priority.
