Gurgaon biker rejects online claims in alleged hit-and-run case

Sia, the Gurgaon biker injured in an alleged hit-and-run, has rejected online claims from supporters of the driver accused in the case.

She told a judge that camera footage shows the driver jumping a red light before the collision, and described assertions of “mutual negligence” and a “panic reaction” as false. Sia has also undergone a medical examination.

Her father disputed claims that a medical emergency had led to the driver’s actions. The driver was detained in Rajasthan after the incident drew widespread attention online.

The case follows Sia’s allegation that a car followed and struck her motorcycle, first reported after the Golf Course Road collision. She was also expected to undergo MRI scans and X-rays after the crash. The allegations and competing explanations have not been tested in court.
