Rain brought a sharp drop in Gurgaon’s daytime temperature on Friday. The city recorded 16.5 mm of rainfall in the 24 hours ending 5.30am, while the maximum temperature settled at 30.6°C.
The minimum temperature was 24°C at the NorthCap University station. Friday’s maximum was five degrees lower than Thursday’s 35.6°C. Sectors along the Dwarka Expressway and parts of Old Gurgaon received rain during the day.
The India Meteorological Department forecast a partly cloudy sky on Saturday, with one or two spells of rain or thundershowers. Temperatures are expected to range from 27°C to 33°C, with similar conditions forecast on Sunday.
A yellow alert is in place across Haryana for Saturday, with the IMD warning of possible heavy rain at some places. Gurgaon has not received a separate warning.
