Gurgaon diner says he found live worm in sandwich at Golf Course Road restaurant

Sulabh Mathur said he had eaten nearly half his sandwich when he spotted a live white worm crawling inside the meat at Paul in One Horizon Centre on Golf Course Road.

Mathur, who was at the Gurgaon restaurant with friends for breakfast at around 11am, recorded a video of the food and posted it on Instagram. The video had drawn more than 1.3 million views at the time it was reported.

The restaurant later apologised to Mathur; he shared a screenshot of the apology online. The outlet did not respond to requests for comment.

A senior food and supplies department official said no formal complaint had been received, but the department was examining the matter independently. For diners, the next clear step is whether the department conducts an inspection or receives a written complaint.
