Gurgaon rain forecast for Thursday, Friday after Sector 28 waterlogging

Waterlogged stretches in Sector 28 and Udyog Vihar could receive more rain on Thursday and Friday, with the India Meteorological Department forecasting light to moderate showers at many places in Gurgaon.

Gurgaon recorded 1.4 mm of rain in the 24 hours ending 8.30am on Wednesday. The maximum temperature was 32°C, 1.7°C below normal, while the minimum temperature was 26.2°C. The main Gurgaon weather station recorded no further rain between 8.30am and 5.30pm, reflecting the uneven distribution of showers across the city.

The IMD's Chandigarh centre has forecast heavy rain at isolated places in Haryana from September 2 to 5. In Gurgaon, rainfall activity is expected to be higher on Thursday and Friday than it was on Wednesday, before showers become less widespread over the weekend.

The monsoon trough and a low-pressure area over northeast Madhya Pradesh and adjoining areas are influencing weather conditions in the region.
