Gurgaon resident films waterlogged road outside home after rain

Dr Shivin Chaudhary posted an Instagram video showing a waterlogged road outside his Gurgaon home, saying the rain had lasted for about an hour.

In the video, Chaudhary described the scene as a “Venice experience” and questioned the condition of basic civic services. He listed GST, corporate tax, income tax and road tax, and asked why a short spell of rain could leave the street waterlogged.

“Man, at least fix the services, right?” he said in the video.

Chaudhary, who said he runs an online company employing about 250 people, also argued that infrastructure can affect where entrepreneurs choose to operate. He referred to an offer of a Golden Visa in Dubai and said businesses moving overseas could take jobs, profits and tax revenue with them.

The post was captioned: “Gurgaon. Every year. Every single time.” It followed rain-related flooding and traffic disruption on major Gurgaon roads a day earlier.
