Gurgaon may get isolated rain on Monday before a three-day dry spell

Gurgaon may receive light rain at isolated places on Monday, before conditions turn dry from Tuesday through Thursday.

The city recorded average rainfall of 23.5mm in the 24 hours ending 8.30am on Sunday. NorthCap University’s automatic weather station logged 27mm over the same period. Sunday’s minimum temperature was 25.2 degrees Celsius at the Gurgaon automatic weather station, while the maximum reached 28.1 degrees Celsius.

The IMD has placed Gurgaon in its isolated-rain category for Monday, meaning rain is expected at up to 25% of reporting stations. Faridabad, Nuh and Palwal are in the same category.

From September 8 to 10, Gurgaon is forecast to remain dry as rainfall shifts largely towards northern Haryana districts, including Panchkula, Ambala, Yamunanagar, Kurukshetra and Karnal. Nuh recorded 49mm on Sunday, while Faridabad received 12mm.
