Gurgaon may see isolated showers on Wednesday after 72mm rain

Gurgaon could receive another spell of light to moderate rain at isolated places on Wednesday, the India Meteorological Department has forecast, after the city recorded 72mm of rain in the 24 hours ending 8.30am Tuesday.

Northcap University’s automatic weather station recorded 44mm in the same period.

The rain brought Gurgaon AWS’s minimum temperature down to 23.1°C on Tuesday, the lowest minimum recorded in Haryana. The state’s average minimum temperature declined by 0.6°C from Monday and remained near normal, the IMD said.

The Wednesday forecast also covers Faridabad, Mewat, Palwal, Rewari, Jhajjar, Rohtak and Sonipat. Gurgaon is not specifically listed for rain from August 27 to 29, though the wider Haryana forecast indicates isolated light to moderate rainfall through August 31. No weather warning has been issued.
