Gurgaon forecast light to moderate rain on Monday, high at 33°C

Gurgaon recorded a maximum temperature of 33°C on Sunday after a dry 24-hour spell, with light to moderate rain forecast at many places on Monday.

The minimum temperature was 28°C, up from 27°C on Saturday. The district recorded no rainfall in the 24 hours ending 8.30am Sunday, and its seasonal total stood at 338.4mm, about 4% below normal.

The Meteorological Centre, Chandigarh, expects rain activity to pick up across Haryana over the next two days. Gurgaon is likely to receive light to moderate rain at many places on August 18, alongside thunderstorms and lightning in parts of the state. Heavy rain is forecast at isolated locations in Panchkula and Yamunanagar that day; the August 17 heavy-rain alert is confined to Panchkula, Ambala and Yamunanagar.

From August 19 to 22, the forecast indicates lighter and more scattered rainfall across Haryana.
