Gurgaon may see rain through Saturday, with isolated heavy showers possible

Gurgaon is likely to receive rain at many places on Friday and Saturday, with the IMD also flagging the possibility of isolated heavy showers in parts of Haryana.

The city recorded 13mm of rain at the NorthCap University station in the 24 hours ending 5pm on Thursday. Its maximum temperature was 32.8°C, while the minimum held at 26.2°C.

Rainfall is expected across southern Haryana on Friday, including Gurgaon, Faridabad and Palwal. Gurgaon and adjoining districts are again forecast to receive rain at many places on Saturday. The weather department expects activity to reduce after that, with rain at a few places forecast in Gurgaon on Sunday and Monday.

The city’s weekly rainfall has been uneven: Gurgaon received 4.2mm between August 28 and September 3, against a normal 29.1mm. For the monsoon season from June 1 to September 3, however, the district recorded 412.4mm of rain against a normal 420mm.
