Gurgaon offices advised to facilitate work from home after heavy rain

Gurgaon authorities have issued an advisory asking corporate offices to facilitate work from home after significant rainfall led to waterlogging and traffic disruption across the city.

The move is intended to reduce the number of vehicles on the road, ease congestion and support ongoing repair work in affected areas. Waterlogging has also disrupted movement around parts of the city, with residents being urged to plan essential journeys carefully.

The advisory follows earlier directions issued during severe flooding, when some underpasses were submerged. For commuters, the immediate change is that travel conditions may remain difficult in waterlogged stretches, particularly during or after further rain. Employees whose work can be done remotely may be asked by their offices to avoid commuting while restoration efforts are underway.

Residents travelling for essential work or other commitments should allow extra time and cooperate with traffic and restoration measures in affected areas.
