Gurgaon penthouse at The Dahlias sold for Rs 271 crore

A penthouse at DLF’s The Dahlias in Gurgaon has been bought by entrepreneur Manav Sardana for Rs 271 crore.

DLF said the home has a super area of 17,200 sq ft and a carpet area of 10,500 sq ft. Based on those measures, the transaction works out to about Rs 1.6 lakh per sq ft of super area and nearly Rs 2.6 lakh per sq ft of carpet area. The company described it as one of India’s costliest residential transactions on a per-square-foot basis.

Sardana has been associated with Imperial Auto, an automotive-components business. The Sardana family is linked to Imperial Auto Industries, which was co-founded in 1969 by SB Sardana and Jagjit Singh.

The sale adds to a run of large-ticket deals in Gurgaon’s luxury housing market. In December 2024, entrepreneur Rishi Parti bought a 16,290 sq ft penthouse at DLF’s The Camellias for Rs 190 crore, at about Rs 1.8 lakh per sq ft.

For Gurgaon residents, the deals do not bring an immediate change to housing availability or local services. They do, however, underline the scale of demand at the city’s ultra-luxury end, where a small number of projects are attracting exceptionally high per-square-foot prices.
