Haryana extends bids for CT scan centres at Faridabad, Gurugram hospitals

Patients at Gurugram and Faridabad civil hospitals could receive additional CT scan services under Haryana’s proposed radiology diagnostics centres.

The Haryana Medical Services Corporation floated a ₹46 crore tender in March for CT scan facilities at civil hospitals in Gurugram, Faridabad, Panchkula, Bhiwani and Sonepat. It has extended the deadline for bids to August 26 for the public-private partnership project.

Each proposed CT facility will have a 64-detector-row multislice scanner. Faridabad is also proposed to receive an MRI service with a 1.5-tesla machine. MRI centres are also planned in Panchkula and Bhiwani. Officials estimate development, operation and maintenance costs of about ₹5 crore for each CT facility and ₹7 crore for each MRI facility.

Hospitals will provide rent-free space of 1,500 to 2,000 sq ft. The selected operator must run the services round the clock for 10 years, including for people using government schemes and CGHS rates. The terms require emergency results within 30 minutes and reports for walk-in, outpatient and inpatient cases within 48 hours.

The operator must contribute 10% of its monthly revenue towards free scans in exchange for the premises.
