Home Soirée brings handlooms and monsoon music to Travancore Palace
The two-day Home Soirée 2026 at Delhi’s Travancore Palace paired Indian textiles and craft with performances by Malini Awasthi, Minu Bakshi and other artists.
Rajasthan Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari inaugurated the two-day Delhi event, pairing handloom displays with music, dance, storytelling and violin.
Malini Awasthi’s monsoon compositions opened a two-day gathering of handlooms, indigenous art and live performance at Travancore Palace in Delhi.
Home Soirée 2026 was inaugurated by Rajasthan Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari. Founded by Nandini Singh Jhabua and Akshat Kapoor, the event framed home as a place shaped by inherited objects, craft and shared traditions.
Awasthi performed songs including *Ab Ke Sawan Ghar Aaja* and *Barsan Lagi Badariya Room Jhoom Ke*. Riddhima Kapoor Sahni attended as guest of honour.
The second day brought together poet Minu Bakshi, danseuse Shivani Verma, storyteller Anas Khan and violinist Tomek Pajak for a programme centred on oral traditions.
Visitors could also browse textile and design pavilions featuring weaves from The House of Angadi, Roliana and Jugni. Amala Earth and Urvashi Kaur presented conscious-design collections, while RAH Jewels, Inca India, Line Tribe, Maadhu by Japna Tulsi and Northern Art were also part of the display.
The event closed with Bakshi, Verma, Khan and Pajak sharing the stage at Travancore Palace.
