IIT Delhi launches seven-month Chief of Staff programme

IIT Delhi has launched a seven-month Executive Programme for Chief of Staff for graduate professionals seeking strategic leadership and executive-support roles.

The course will be delivered through live online sessions, allowing participants to continue working while studying. The curriculum includes sessions, case-based discussions, practical frameworks, assignments, applied-learning activities and a capstone project based on business scenarios.

Sanjay Dhir, a professor of strategic management at IIT Delhi’s Department of Management Studies and a programme coordinator, said chief of staff roles require professionals who can connect strategy with execution and coordinate across functions.

The programme covers executive-leadership support, stakeholder management, decision-making, business transformation, project execution and technology-driven approaches. Participants may opt for a campus immersion at IIT Delhi to engage with faculty and peers.

Sonali Jain, an associate professor of finance and another coordinator, said the programme is open to graduate professionals seeking leadership capabilities for strategic roles within organisations.
