India to play Panama at Bengaluru’s Kanteerava Stadium on September 26
The Indian men’s football team will return to Sree Kanteerava Stadium for an international friendly against Panama during the September–October FIFA window.
India will face Panama in Bengaluru on September 26, in the team’s first appearance at the stadium since the 2023 SAFF Championship. The match is one of three home friendlies scheduled in the FIFA window, alongside fixtures against Brazil and Uruguay in Kolkata.
Sree Kanteerava Stadium will host India’s men’s football team against Panama on September 26, bringing the Blue Tigers back to Bengaluru for the first time since their 2023 SAFF Championship campaign.
India won that tournament on home soil, beating Kuwait in the final at the same stadium. Panama are ranked 44th in the world.
The Bengaluru fixture falls within the FIFA international window running from September 21 to October 6. India are also set to play Brazil in Kolkata on October 3 and Uruguay there on October 6.
For Bengaluru football followers, the Panama match offers a rare international fixture at Kanteerava, which last hosted India during their title-winning SAFF run. The national team is then scheduled to travel for two away matches against New Zealand on November 12 and 15.
