Pataudi family reports Jatauli house break-in after Jaipur treatment

Jogender Singh said his family returned to their Jatauli home in Pataudi around 5am on September 11 after Jyotsna Singh died during treatment in Jaipur. In his complaint, he alleged that the main gate lock and room locks had been broken and household items were scattered.

Jyotsna Singh suffered a heart attack on September 9 and was first admitted to a hospital in Rewari, the complaint said. The family later took her to SMS Hospital in Jaipur, where she died during treatment.

After her cremation, the family checked the house and reported jewellery missing from a wooden almirah, including a mangalsutra, necklace, bangles, rings and earrings. Jogender Singh estimated that 147.25 grams of 22-carat gold jewellery, two pairs of silver anklets and Rs 1.13 lakh in cash were missing.

Pataudi police have registered a case under Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita provisions concerning theft and house-breaking. Police said the Heli Mandi post team is investigating and fingerprint and dog-squad teams are being arranged for the site.
