Jenjum Gadi’s ‘Ngok Dolu’ opens at Lodhi Road gallery on September 11

More than 30 new works by artist Jenjum Gadi will go on view at Gallery Vayu on Lodhi Road from September 11 to 30.

Titled *Ngok Dolu*, the exhibition draws on Gadi’s upbringing in a small self-sustaining village in Arunachal Pradesh, among bamboo, wood and thatch homes, cultivated fields, forests, rivers and orchards. The works return to architecture, agriculture, weather, craft traditions and village life, moving between remembered detail and imagination.

Clouds recur as a motif across the show. Gadi renders these fleeting forms primarily in brass, contrasting the durable material with landscapes that continue to change.

Gallery Vayu will present wall hangings, installations and sculptures. Gadi has previously held solo exhibitions at Vayu: Design for Living and Bikaner House, and has participated in Jodhpur Art Week and Art Mumbai.
