Bengaluru: KEA keeps horticulture recruitment exams on Sept 26, 27

Candidates for Karnataka’s assistant horticulture officer (AHO) and assistant director of horticulture (ADH) posts will sit their examinations on September 26 and 27 as notified, KEA executive director H Prasanna said.

Bangalore South MP Tejasvi Surya had asked the authority to consider postponing the tests after receiving a representation from the Alumni Association of the University of Horticultural Sciences, Bagalkot. In his September 8 letter, Surya said some applicants had also registered for other examinations whose dates overlap.

The SSC Selection Post Examination Phase XIV-2026 runs from September 16 to 26, while the SBI clerk examination is scheduled for September 26 and 27. The KSRP, IRB and KISF police constable examination is set for September 20.

KEA said it had also received requests to retain the timetable. Candidates opposing a change said the authority had allowed more than two months for AHO preparation from August 5, and that a postponement could disrupt later government recruitment tests.

Prasanna said KEA had made the necessary arrangements and would proceed with the notified dates.
