Delhi: Man dies after Keshav Puram wine shop dispute; 3 apprehended

Bhawani, 30, was declared brought dead at Deep Chand Bandhu Hospital after an alleged attack outside a wine shop in Keshav Puram on Tuesday, police said.

Police said Bhawani and Asha Ram, 32, were asked for a matchbox to light a cigarette. When they said they did not have one, an argument followed. Police alleged that the two men were then attacked with fists and a knife.

Asha Ram sustained an injury to his left lower chest and was undergoing treatment. Police said he was unfit to give a statement.

Keshav Puram police have registered a case of murder and attempted murder. They apprehended Naresh Bahadur, also known as Nepali, 19, Tarun, 19, and a juvenile. Police alleged that Naresh stabbed both men and that the other two assaulted them with fists. Police said they recovered a knife at Naresh’s instance.
