Bengaluru Airport will charge arriving passengers a UDF from September 1

A passenger arriving at Kempegowda International Airport from September 1 will pay a User Development Fee for the first time: ₹125 on a domestic arrival and ₹426 on an international one.

The Airports Economic Regulatory Authority of India has revised the airport tariff, splitting the fee between arriving and departing passengers. Domestic departures will carry a ₹300 UDF, while international departures will be charged ₹997. Until August 31, the existing charges continue, with only departing domestic and international passengers paying ₹550 and ₹1,500 respectively.

For a domestic journey, the combined arrival-and-departure UDF will be ₹425, lower than the current ₹550 departure charge. For international travel, the combined ₹1,423 is below the present ₹1,500.

Bengaluru International Airport Limited said the tariff takes account of planned work including Terminal 2 Phase 2, its apron, airfield works, and road and landside infrastructure. It said additional tariffs tied to major projects would apply only after those facilities are completed, commissioned and put into use under AERA’s process.
