Lalbaugcha Raja’s 2026 idol to be unveiled in Parel at 7pm

Lalbaugcha Raja’s 2026 idol will be unveiled at 7pm on September 11 at the Lalbaug Market mandal in Parel, marking the first public viewing before this year’s Ganeshotsav.

The Lalbaugcha Raja Sarvajanik Ganeshotsav Mandal is set to hold its 93rd Ganeshotsav from September 14 to 25. The mandal is located at Lalbaug Market, Shree Ganesh Nagar, Ambedkar Road, Parel.

Visitors using Central Railway can walk to the pandal from Curry Road or Chinchpokli stations, each about five to 10 minutes away. From the Western line, Lower Parel is the nearest option, followed by a taxi or autorickshaw ride; Cotton Green serves commuters arriving on the Harbour line. Dadar East is another approach, via a shared taxi towards Bharat Mata signal and a short walk.

Those travelling by road should prepare for traffic diversions and parking restrictions around Parel and Lalbaug during the festival period.
