Noida Sector 82 residents report low water pressure, buy water

Overhead tanks serving 884 units in Pocket 7, Sector 82, were nearly empty on Monday as low water pressure cut supply to a trickle, residents said.

About 3,500 people live in the pocket’s two- and three-storey houses. Water continues to reach some ground-floor taps, residents said, but upper-floor households say the pressure is too weak for water to reach them. Many have been buying water cans for kitchens and toilets.

RWA general secretary Banti Singh said the problem had persisted for at least a month despite repeated complaints to the water department. “We receive water for only about two hours daily,” he said. Residents said they were spending at least ₹240 a day on purchased water.

The RWA has asked Noida Authority’s water department to restore consistent supply. Authority general manager RP Singh has assured residents that the issue will be addressed.
