Maharashtra launches dashboard linking 40 health portals

Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis launched Maharashtra’s Integrated Health Dashboard at Varsha in Mumbai on Wednesday, linking more than 40 Public Health Department portals.

The dashboard will give state and district officials a single view of maternal and child health, tuberculosis control and screening for non-communicable diseases. Officials can compare district performance, identify gaps and respond sooner.

The state has also set up an Integrated Health Facilitation Centre to streamline the existing 104 call centre. In addition to receiving calls from citizens, the centre will follow up with high-risk pregnant women, post-natal mothers, tuberculosis patients and people with non-communicable diseases. It can handle about 1,000 calls a day and alert district officials to serious cases.

Government health institutions will receive star ratings based on specialist services, staff availability, medicines, laboratories, outpatient and inpatient care, deliveries, surgeries, cleanliness and patient feedback. Residents will be able to view information on hospital services.

The initiatives are part of Mission Arogyam. Kolhapur will pilot Maha Pulse AI, connecting 104 government health institutions across 12 talukas through an integrated digital system.
