Ganesh idol-making workshops in Vasant Kunj, Noida and Greater Noida

Delhi NCR residents can make Ganesh idols from clay at workshops in Vasant Kunj, Noida and Greater Noida before Ganesh Chaturthi on September 14.

TalesofCity will hold a terracotta Ganesha workshop at The Kunj, Vasant Kunj, on August 23, from 1pm to 3pm. Entry costs ₹1,199. Artist Mukesh Kumar said participants will be shown how to continue working on their idols at home while the clay remains soft, with a group available for practical help.

Claying Thoughts Pottery Studio in Sector 21, Noida, has scheduled sessions on August 30 and September 6, from 3pm to 6pm, at ₹1,800. The studio is encouraging participants to leave idols unpainted or add a simple haldi tilak.

Chaak Pottery Studio in Sector 2, Greater Noida, offers sessions at custom times. The studio said a 12-inch Ganpati can take two days of four to five hours each, followed by painting and decorative work such as a turban, stole or garland. Group bookings cost ₹1,000 per person.
