Manesar deputy mayor warns agencies over delayed ward works

Private agencies that leave Manesar’s civic works unfinished or fail to begin them could be blacklisted, senior deputy mayor Praveen Yadav said.

At a review of projects across the Municipal Corporation of Manesar’s 20 wards, councillors reported that several works had run past their deadlines. The pending list includes sewer and drain work in Harsaru; a drain-cleaning machine near Hayatpur bus stand; road and water-pipeline work in Bamroli and Hayatpur; and repairs to water lines, manholes and frames in Kankrola and Bhangrola.

Other projects awaiting completion include a sewer line and drinking-water line near Bhangrola stadium’s BPL colony, an RCC drain on Bas-Bhangrola Road, drain desilting and two tubewells in Manesar village, and sewer and water-line repairs in Naharpur Kasan. A tubewell is also planned near Krishna Mandir and the old veterinary hospital in Sikhopur.

Officials cited encroachments as a reason for delays to road and lane construction at several sites and said notices had been issued. Joint commissioner Darshan Yadav said the enforcement wing will begin an intensive encroachment-removal drive next week. He also asked officials to prioritise drinking-water restoration and speed up sewage treatment plants under construction.
