MCG deploys 36 sanitation monitors across Gurgaon wards

Thirty-six ward-level sanitation nodal assistants will track garbage collection, road sweeping and the cleanliness of public spaces across Gurgaon.

The Municipal Corporation of Gurugram has directed the assistants, who will also work as assistant sanitary inspectors, to inspect garbage vulnerable points, door-to-door waste collection, roads and streets in their allotted wards. They must immediately report any deficiency to the relevant field staff or agency.

Each inspection must be recorded on the MCG inspection app, including observations, deficiencies and action taken. The teams will also verify sanitation complaints received through government grievance platforms, official channels and other legitimate sources. Complaints involving garbage vulnerable points, waste collection and road sweeping are to be handled on priority.

The order requires assistants to maintain a record of every complaint, including its source, action taken, time taken for resolution and pending status. MCG commissioner Pradeep Dahiya said recurring or serious problems must be addressed promptly and followed until resolved.

Joint commissioners will supervise the ward teams and submit consolidated daily reports to additional commissioners by 11am. They must escalate matters requiring urgent intervention without waiting for the report.
