Over 1,000 students exhibit work at Bengaluru children’s biennale

More than 1,000 children across eight Bengaluru campuses have responded to one question through art, installations, technology, movement and storytelling: what does the future feel like?

The Ekya Children’s Biennale 2026 brings together students aged 2.5 to 18 from Ekya Schools and CMR NPS. Their work spans seven themes, including nature, cities, machines, memory, culture, play and human connection.

Students spent seven to eight weeks developing the projects through conversations, observations and questions. “We are asking children to imagine the future they will grow up in and, importantly, to tell us what they want it to feel like,” said Dr Tristha Ramamurthy, founder of Ekya Schools and vice-president of CMR Group of Institutions.

Organisers said the biennale opened in August and has received nearly 3,000 visitors. Participating campuses are open to visitors on Saturdays from 9am to 3pm until October 31.
