Gurgaon Sector 103: 550 families report 14-hour power outage

More than 550 families at Satya The Hermitage in Sector 103 reported a power outage lasting more than 14 hours, from around midnight until about 2.30pm.

Residents relied on diesel-generator backup for essential services. Brij Kishore, a resident, said power disruptions had occurred once or twice a week this year.

ATS Tourmaline, Brisk Lumbini, ATS Kocoon and ATS Caladium also reported power disruption after a feeder fault. Residents at some societies said the interruption lasted more than five hours. Ajay Kumar of ATS Kocoon said residents had largely depended on generator power from 6am and linked recurring faults to an 11kV line that he described as a temporary connection designed for lower occupancy.

A DHBVN official said Satya The Hermitage’s feeder was functioning normally and attributed the outage there to an internal society fault. The official said the feeder fault affecting ATS Kocoon was repaired and supply restored in about two to two-and-a-half hours.
