Mumbai City kickboxers bring home medals from national championships in Indore

Wins Patil returned from Indore with a gold, a silver and a bronze medal as Mumbai City kickboxers competed at the WAKO India National Kickboxing Championship 2026 and the first Para National Kickboxing Championship.

Ashwini Jambale won gold and bronze, Harsh Salekar took gold, Trishna Naik earned two bronzes, and Darshana Agawane added another bronze. Pradnesh M. Patwardhan competed in Point Fight.

Mumbai City’s para contingent also collected medals. Vinod Rawat, Sudhakar Patil and Hemlataben Machhi won gold; Rohit More and Murugesh secured silver; and Aman Thalhari took bronze.

The senior and masters events included Point Fight, Light Contact, Kick Light, Low Kick and Team Point Fight. Athletes from 28 states and three Union Territories took part in the championships.

The Sports Kickboxing Association, Mumbai City said the team trained with support from the Gurukul Kriti Foundation Trust, which provided free training and sports equipment. District association president Umesh Murkar, international referee and coach Vighnesh Murkar, and coach Ashish Mahadik worked with the athletes ahead of and during the competition.
