Mumbai forecast: light rain and gusts up to 60 kmph on Tuesday

Mumbai recorded a minimum temperature of 29°C on Tuesday morning, with light rain, overcast skies and gusty winds across the city and suburbs.

The India Meteorological Department forecast generally cloudy conditions, intermittent rain and thundershowers through the day. Some locations may receive moderate to heavy showers during stronger spells, though widespread heavy rain is not expected.

Winds are likely to blow at 40-50 kmph, with gusts of up to 60 kmph possible. The maximum temperature is expected to reach about 33°C. No rainfall alert has been issued for Mumbai this week.

Mumbai’s overall Air Quality Index was 21 on Tuesday morning, in the Good category.

Mumbai recorded rainfall 66% below normal in August, but had received about 96% of its average annual rainfall by this point after heavier downpours earlier in the monsoon.
