Mumbai weather: Showers and gusty winds forecast for Wednesday

Mumbai woke to overcast skies, light rain and gusty winds on Wednesday, with more showers expected through the day.

The India Meteorological Department has forecast generally cloudy conditions for Mumbai and its suburbs, with light to moderate rain and thundershowers at several places. Isolated areas may receive moderate to heavy spells, accompanied by winds of 40-50 kmph that could gust to 50-60 kmph during intense rain.

The maximum temperature is expected to be around 32°C. The minimum temperature recorded on Wednesday morning was 29°C.

No rain alert has been issued for Mumbai this week, though intermittent showers and cloudy skies are expected to continue.

Mumbai’s overall Air Quality Index stood at 18 on Wednesday morning, placing it in the Good category.
