Neon Nights to perform reworked pop and retro songs in Safdarjung

Neon Nights will perform at The Piano Man, Safdarjung, on September 12 with a set of pop hits and retro favourites rearranged for a live band.

The six-member group includes drummer Lian Khuptong; vocalists Jael Syuhlo and Asherie Zonunmawi; guitarist Joshua Constantine; bassist Daniel Hatzaw; and pianist Lian Suanlal Guite. Formed in 2024, the band draws on rock, retro, pop and soul influences.

Rather than reproduce original recordings, Neon Nights says it keeps recognisable choruses, melodies and guitar parts while changing grooves, harmonies, dynamics, solos, intros and endings. The set will also include newer songs recast with an older live-band sound.

The band said it aims to make familiar songs recognisable while giving listeners arrangements they have not heard before.
