NID Bengaluru DAT 2027 applications open; deadline November 30

Students planning to apply to NID Bengaluru for the 2027-28 academic year have until November 30, 2026, at 11.59pm to submit their Design Aptitude Test applications.

The test covers admission to the B.Des programme, the 5.5-year Professional Education M.Des Integrated Pathway, and the regular 2.5-year M.Des programme. NID Bengaluru offers both M.Des routes; the integrated pathway is also offered at Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar.

Applications are open at admissions.nid.edu. Candidates can edit their forms from 4pm on December 1 until 11.59pm on December 3. Admit cards for DAT Prelims will be available from 4pm on December 10, ahead of the December 20 exam.

The application fee is ₹3,000 for General, GEN-EWS and OBC-NCL candidates; ₹2,000 for female candidates other than those in SC, ST and PwD categories; ₹1,500 for SC/ST candidates; and ₹500 for PwD and Third Gender candidates. Regular M.Des applicants pay the fee for each discipline they choose.

Applicants will need a photograph, signature and applicable category certificates. M.Des preliminary results are due on February 16, 2027, followed by B.Des results on March 16.
