Old phones, damaged chargers and unused electronic devices are the focus of an e-waste collection campaign running in Navi Mumbai until October 31.

The Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation will hold its first collection camp on October 22 at its headquarters. The camp is reserved for civic employees.

NMMC is conducting the campaign under Special Campaign 6.0 in association with We The Recycling Company. The corporation said the campaign aims to keep discarded electronics out of regular household garbage and send them through designated channels for recycling and resource recovery.

Residents will be able to hand over electronic waste at ward-level collection points after NMMC announces their locations.
