Noida approves ₹85 crore arch flyover between Sectors 148 and 150

Noida Authority has approved an ₹85 crore arch flyover across the Noida-Greater Noida Expressway to link Sector 148 with Sector 150.

The proposed crossing is intended for commuters travelling between Sectors 148, 149, 150, 151, 152 and 153. At present, people travelling across the expressway use existing cuts and interchanges, which the Authority says add distance and can become congested during peak hours.

Noida Authority CEO Krishna Karunesh approved the project. General manager AK Arora said the flyover is planned to provide direct connectivity between sectors on either side of the expressway.

The Authority estimates that about two lakh people in the surrounding sectors, as well as residents of around 20 nearby villages, will benefit from the crossing. It said growing high-rise residential development in Sector 150 has increased pressure on the local road network.

Jitendra Singh, a Sector 150 resident, said commuters approaching from Delhi face congestion when crossing towards Sector 150. The Authority will take up detailed planning and construction preparations for the project.
