Noida opens bids for ₹4,526 crore convention and habitat centre in Sector 94

Noida Authority has issued a request for proposal to select a private developer for its ₹4,526 crore convention and habitat centre in Sector 94, near the Noida-Greater Noida Expressway.

The 25-acre complex is planned as a mixed-use commercial and cultural hub, with a convention centre, exhibition facilities, retail outlets, offices, a hotel, serviced apartments and homes. The convention centre is to have 18,762 square metres of built-up area; the habitat centre and hotel are each planned at 29,507 square metres.

The plans also provide 65,437 square metres for retail, 1.10 lakh square metres for offices and serviced apartments, and 1.75 lakh square metres for residential development. Residential use cannot exceed 40% of the total built-up area. Parking is proposed for 7,180 cars.

Under the PPP arrangement, the Authority and selected developer will form a special purpose vehicle. The developer will design, finance, construct, operate and maintain the project. Approved layout and building plans mean construction can begin after a developer is chosen.

The convention centre must be completed within 30 months of the award, while the full complex is to be operational within seven years. An elevated foot overbridge connecting it to Okhla Bird Sanctuary Metro station is also proposed.
