Noida plans ₹25 crore overhaul of congested DSC Road stretch
The Noida Authority plans to rebuild the Irrigation Canal–Kulesara Bridge stretch of DSC Road and its Sector 79 T-Point approach as “model roads” within six months.
The project targets a busy corridor used by industrial workers, office commuters and residents travelling through Noida’s Phase-II and nearby sectors. The Authority has estimated ₹15 crore for the Irrigation Canal-to-Kulesara Bridge section and ₹10 crore for the Sector 79 T-Point link to DSC Road.
Noida is planning a ₹25 crore upgrade of a congested section of Dadri-Surajpur-Chhalera Road, aiming to improve movement for motorists and create safer passage for pedestrians.
The Noida Authority will develop the stretch between the Irrigation Canal and Kulesara Bridge as a “model road”, alongside the road connecting Sector 79 T-Point to DSC Road. It has set aside about ₹15 crore for the canal-to-bridge section and ₹10 crore for the Sector 79 link.
DSC Road serves industrial and commercial pockets including NSEZ, Phase-II, Sectors 80 and 81, and the Hosiery Complex, as well as residential areas. Thousands of office-goers and industrial workers use the route daily, the Authority said.
SP Singh, the Authority’s general manager, said traffic from the elevated road contributes to congestion on the Irrigation Canal–Kulesara Bridge stretch. The Authority aims to complete the work within six months.
