Noida approves ₹85 crore flyover plan between Sectors 148 and 150

The narrow underpass beneath the Noida Expressway near Sectors 148 and 150 may get an alternative route under a ₹85 crore plan approved by the Noida Authority for a 500-metre flyover.

The Authority said the structure would improve movement across the expressway for Sectors 148, 149, 150, 151, 152 and 153, as well as 20 nearby villages. Vehicles currently use the underpass to travel between the two sides of the expressway, but traffic slows during peak hours and monsoon flooding can interrupt passage.

The Authority estimates that about two lakh people would benefit from the link. General manager AK Arora said development in Sector 150, including residential projects and sports facilities in Sports City, is expected to add to traffic pressure.

The Noida Expressway has cross-links at Mahamaya and Sector 128. Underpasses operate at Sector 96, Kondli village, Advant and Sector 148, while two more are being built at Jhatta and Sultanpur villages.
