Noida police recover 10 suspected stolen two-wheelers; man held

Phase-3 police said they recovered nine motorcycles and a scooter suspected to have been stolen after arresting a 20-year-old man and detaining two juveniles.

Police identified the man as Vansh, who was held near an HP petrol pump on the Sector 71 service road on Wednesday. He is from Bijnor and was living in Mamura, police said. Officers also recovered what police described as a .315-bore country-made pistol and two knives alleged to be illegal.

Central Noida ADCP Swatantra Kumar Singh said the group allegedly surveyed areas across Delhi-NCR before targeting two-wheelers parked in isolated locations. The vehicles were kept at secluded spots and sold at low prices, police said.

Police said their records list 12 cases against Vansh in Gautam Buddh Nagar since 2023, including allegations involving robbery, stolen property, narcotics, illegal arms and liquor. Investigators are verifying the recovered vehicles’ ownership and checking whether the group was linked to similar thefts in Noida and elsewhere in Delhi-NCR.
