Noida Sector 117 residents raise drainage and tree-safety concerns

Residents of Noida’s Sector 117 have sought action on drainage, green-belt maintenance and tree pruning near high-tension electricity lines.

The concerns were raised in a meeting with Noida Authority officials. Residents asked for improvements to the sector’s drainage system, along with more regular upkeep of green belts.

They also flagged trees located close to high-tension power lines and requested pruning. Such work can matter during periods of heavy rain or strong winds, when blocked drains can affect local movement and vegetation near electricity infrastructure may create safety concerns.

For households in Sector 117, the issues involve everyday neighbourhood conditions: water drainage, the maintenance of shared green spaces and safety around overhead power infrastructure. The requests now place these works before the authority for consideration.
