The Indian Super League side launched the kit in Mumbai ahead of the forthcoming season, bringing Reebok back into competitive football sponsorship in India. Club co-owner John Abraham unveiled the jersey with Aryaman Vikram Birla, director at Aditya Birla Group and non-executive director of Aditya Birla Lifestyle Brands Limited.
Goalkeeper Gurmeet Singh and players Buanthanglun Samte, Redeem Tlang and Lalrinzuala Lalbiaknia wore the new kit in a five-a-side exhibition match at the launch.
NorthEast United CEO Mandar Tamhane said the partnership was intended to lift standards on and off the field and connect the region’s football culture with younger fans. The two-time Durand Cup winners will take the Reebok partnership into their next ISL campaign.
