D.K. Shivakumar launched the One Karnataka Mobility App at Vidhana Soudha in Bengaluru, bringing four state-run bus corporations onto one digital platform.
The upgraded KSRTC AWATAR 2.0 app covers Bengaluru Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC), Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC), North Western Karnataka Road Transport Corporation (NWKRTC) and Kalyana Karnataka Road Transport Corporation (KKRTC). Users can view earlier bookings, manage transactions and file grievances concerning any of the four transport undertakings. They can also track complaints and escalate them where needed.
For KSRTC, NWKRTC and KKRTC services, passengers can begin a ticket booking on WhatsApp by messaging +91 6364940880. They must enter their origin, destination, journey date and passenger details, then pay through UPI, cards or wallets. Confirmed e-tickets are sent on WhatsApp and email. Passengers can cancel tickets booked through WhatsApp using their PNR, mobile number and transaction password.
A QR-code-verified digital monthly pass is planned for phased introduction. Reservation help is available round the clock at 080-26252625.
