215 rooms and units sealed in Sushant Lok-1 and South City-1

At house 379A in Sushant Lok-1, officials demolished a dining hall, kitchen, reception, lounge and four rooms in the stilt area before sealing 52 rooms on the first to fourth floors.

The town and country planning department sealed 215 rooms and units during its second day of action against unauthorised construction and commercial use in Sushant Lok-1 and South City-1.

In Sushant Lok-1, officials sealed nine 2-BHK units at house 569. They also sealed 36 rooms at houses 283A and 282A, which had been combined for use as a guesthouse. At house 519, an approved guesthouse had its stilt-area reception counter, kitchen, dining hall, office and store demolished.

In South City-1, officials sealed all 20 rooms at Eden Treebo Hotel, B-2. They also sealed 32 rooms at B-79, 39 at B-80 and 27 at B-11, where they demolished an office in the stilt area.

District town planner (enforcement) Amit Madholia said the department was systematically surveying licensed colonies and would act where properties did not comply with sanctioned building plans or permitted-use conditions.
