PM Modi to address SRCC students on Teachers’ Day

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to address students at Delhi’s Shri Ram College of Commerce on September 5, when the college will also mark Teachers’ Day during its centenary year.

The interaction is expected to focus on young people’s aspirations and the issues shaping the next generation. SRCC, part of the University of Delhi, completes 100 years this year.

Modi has a longstanding association with the institution: in 2013, before becoming Prime Minister, he delivered the Shri Ram Keynote Oration at SRCC, speaking about development and “Suraj”, or good governance. In April, he released a commemorative stamp in New Delhi to mark the college’s centenary.

The September 5 engagement is set to be his second visit to a higher-education institution in Delhi this year, after he attended IIT Delhi’s convocation ceremony on August 8.
