Potholes and waterlogging slow Kherki Daula service road near Sector 76-77

Opposite Hyatt Regency near the Sector 76-77 junction, the service road by the Kherki Daula toll plaza has developed potholes, loose gravel, mud and waterlogged patches.

Residents said the stretch has been in poor condition for more than three months despite patch repairs. Rajnish Sachdeva, president of the Winter Hills RWA, said a pothole dislodged his car’s underside safety shield. Trucks and dumpers also use the road to bypass the toll plaza, adding pressure to the damaged surface, residents said.

During the monsoon, water collects in damaged sections. In dry spells, dust rises from broken patches along the corridor. Residents also alleged that wastewater from a nearby housing society contributes to the recurring damage.

NHAI said it plans to reconstruct the road in cement concrete. GMDA has proposed and begun work on a stormwater drain from Kherki Daula towards Manesar along the same stretch, NHAI said, which would require the road to be excavated again. Temporary repairs have been carried out in the meantime.
