Worli: ‘Power of One’ donation drive launched during Paryushan

Shrimad Rajchandra Mission Dharampur (SRMD) launched its 2026 ‘Power of One’ donation initiative at SVP Stadium in Worli on the closing day of Shvetambar Paryushan.

The campaign asks people to donate usable essentials, including clothes, food grains, footwear, utensils and toys, for underserved communities. It operates under Shrimad Rajchandra Love and Care. SRMD said the initiative, launched in 2019, has distributed more than five million items worldwide.

Shvetambar Paryushan was observed from September 8 to 15 and concluded with Samvatsari, when devotees exchange the greeting “Micchami Dukkadam” as part of a forgiveness ritual. Gujarat Deputy Chief Minister Harsh Sanghavi launched the campaign at the Worli gathering.

SRMD also announced ‘Aho Gurudev – 60 Years of an Enlightened Existence’, an event marking Gurudevshri Rakeshji’s 60th birth anniversary. The main celebrations are scheduled at Mumbai’s Jio World Convention Centre on September 25 and 26. Digambar Das Lakshan Parva is scheduled from September 16 to 25.
