Priyank Kharge meets more than 600 police personnel in Bengaluru
Police personnel used an interaction at Ambedkar Bhavan to raise concerns about welfare, working conditions and day-to-day policing.
Home Minister Priyank Kharge met more than 600 police personnel from selected commissionerates and district police units in Bengaluru. He said the issues and suggestions raised at the session would be examined.
More than 600 police personnel gathered at Ambedkar Bhavan in Bengaluru for an interaction with Home Minister Priyank Kharge, bringing workplace concerns from beat duty into a room with the state’s senior police leadership.
Personnel from selected commissionerates and district police units spoke about welfare, working conditions, operational challenges and public service delivery. They also suggested ways to improve the professional environment within the department and strengthen policing standards.
Kharge said the issues and constructive suggestions raised during the session would be examined. The meeting was also attended by Additional Chief Secretary for the Home Department Rajendra Kumar Kataria, DG&IGP M A Saleem, Bengaluru Police Commissioner Seemant Kumar Singh, ADGP (Law and Order) R Hitendra, ADGP-Administration Soumendu Mukherjee and IGP of the police computer wing Labhu Ram.
The initiative was intended to identify measures to improve police functioning and service delivery.
