Red Fort Luv Kush Ramlila plans four-level stage and AI visuals

A four-level stage is planned for this year’s Luv Kush Ramlila at Red Fort, where organisers will combine live performance with AI-assisted graphics, 3D mapping and LED-screen visuals.

The 10-day Dussehra production will feature Devesh Sharma as Ram, Kaveri Priyam as Sita and Pankaj Kamad as Hanuman. Priyam, making her first appearance in a mythological role, said she hoped to do justice to “the image of Maa Sita that people hold in their hearts”.

Arjun Kumar, president of the Luv Kush Ramlila Committee, said the stage will expand from three levels to four and include a replica of Madurai’s Meenakshi Temple as its backdrop. Planned effects include Hanuman appearing to fly nearly 200 feet above the ground, carrying Ram and Lakshman on his shoulders with the help of cranes. LED screens will enhance the sequence.

Work on the visuals has begun, organisers said.
