Rekha Gupta, Arvind Kejriwal receive SIR notices over voter-roll details

Rekha Gupta’s voter entry in Shalimar Bagh has been validated after a booth-level officer checked her documents, the electoral registration office said. The chief minister had received a notice because the age difference recorded between her and her parents was less than 15 years. Her name is now marked for inclusion in the final AC-14 Shalimar Bagh roll, scheduled for publication on November 4.

Arvind Kejriwal, his parents, wife and son have also received SIR notices. They are registered in the KG Marg area of the New Delhi constituency, but election officials said their enumeration forms lacked details needed to link them with the electoral rolls from the last SIR revision. Their names remain in the draft roll, officials said.

The family must submit a reply and the required documents to the electoral registration officer; notices are to be disposed of by October 29. If an elector is excluded from the final roll, they can appeal first to the district electoral officer and then to the chief electoral officer.

For other Delhi residents missing from the draft roll, the route remains an inclusion claim through Form 6. The Delhi CEO office has also asked district authorities to hold camps near recent demolition sites, with special inclusion camps at polling stations on September 20 and 27.
